<p>Do you (or anyone you know) been accepted to cal and another competitive university, chosen cal, and absolutely regretted it? Tell me why :)</p>
<p>I think this is a misleading question…In any college, you will find people who regret one way or other )grass greener on the other side). See the freshman retention rates.</p>
<p>for some reason there are a lot (and I mean a lot) more people complaining about Cal than any other UC or ivy school…just check out the other forums. Why do you never see people complaining about other colleges…:(</p>
<p>It’s not as many complaints as it is people saying they have heard complaints or rumors about Cal. Also Cal is obviously harder than the other UCs and inflates grades less than Ivies, so there you go.</p>
<p>The majority of students love it here though.</p>
<p>Wish I hadn’t majored in Haas and had done Applied Math or CS. Haas gets you jobs (I’ll be working at a major investment bank this summer), but I don’t feel like I’ve learned that much. </p>
<p>That being said, I love my school.</p>
<p>Dunno about people regretting Cal, but I know a lot of people here regret their major decision. Personally, I wish I could have gone back and majored/doubled in CS.</p>
