Has anyone seen the piano on the sand bar?

I am getting the biggest kick out of the image of this grand piano on the sand bar in Biscayne Bay. . . with pelicans on it and the ocean all around it. Beautiful.

Yea whats the deal with that?

I think it used to belong to the Chua-Rubenfeld family. :)

I like QuantMech idea, but it was part of a 16 year olds plan to get into Copper Union.

Ah, college admissions! Of course!

he figured it would eventually wash away… :frowning: all in the name of college admissions.

He was on the Today show this morning.

A bunch of drunks and a desire to be admitted to college. Lol. It’s definitely not a Chua tactic.

laxmom: that would assume that those of us just north of you actually GOT the Today Show this morning; another snowmageddon pre-empted the Today Show…

sorry we missed it but as you posted, it will be online…

piano bar???

I don’t know why people are so wowed by this. I think it’s kind of sad that a beautiful grand piano was first burned and then dumped on a sand bar for seagulls to poop on. It would have been so nice if they had instead donated the piano to a school.

QuantMech, love your comment!

I’m not amused by the prank.

BAnd mom–agreed. it’s also sad that dumb meaningless stunts (fueled by a lot of money ) are now an accepted way to get ahead, furthering the Reality-TVization of life.

The kids involved were also on the national newscasts last night. One seem amazed that they would be fined by the police and made to clean up the mess they created.

Littering is littering!

During the next storm, it will be playing Under the Sea

Looks like his plan didn’t impress.
