Has anyone seen XL TWIN sheets yet!

D2 just got some from the Garnet Hill catalogue. She’s a counselor at a camp in NH where it gets chilly at night, so she got the jersey-type sheets. Link below:

[Striped Jersey-Knit Bedding - Garnet Hill](http://www.garnethill.com/jump.jsp?itemID=5658&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C4611%2C10099%2C10102&iProductID=5658)

Take your Bed,Bath,Beyond coupons-they don’t expire.

Target does a big Back to School college dorm decoration/needs section coming soon. Buy your XL sheets and memory foam mattress topper.

Very Happy – you are a doll!
Ridgeway is the ‘old neighborhood’ where I have to be this afternoon!
I forgot that it’s now full of big boxes … should be able to find a few minutes after the dentist to get in there and solve my problem!
Thanks!

My pleasure!

You dont need XL twin sheets. Just get regular length jersey (t-shirt material) sheets. They fit perfectly.

AT UMD they say the bed is normal, but we bought XL because once you put on the quilted mattress pad it is a fight with the sheet. We got them at Target. They probably will start filling up the stores come July. Our DS’s roommate didn’t buy XL and the poor child need everybody standing at each corner to get the fitted sheet on over the mattress pad…not fun when it is 95 degrees and you are sweating

so he only will do that once per semester! :)

Walmart??? I have been looking and looking and not finding any XL’s at my Walmart. Do they hide them somewhere - or is just because we are definitely NOT in a college town?

I like to get mine at TJ Maxx or Home Goods because they often have nicer sheets with a higher thread count, even in XL…my D will be on year 3 of her original sheets and they still look and feel great!

Yeah, we couldn’t get the regular t-shirt material sheets over the mattress, once you added the mattress pad and memory foam pad. XL’s were easy for us to find.

In fact, even though I sent two sets, one came back in the package, unopened.

He did wash those sheets, but probably not as often as when he was at home.

I already got some XL sheets at Target (not the softest/highest count but D wanted Black…) and also they have XL mattress pads out. It’s in their college '09 or dorm '09 stuff…

xl twin sheets are why God made the JC Penney catalog

A relative bought a set of sheets for geek_son on QVC. They felt nice and they weren’t expensive.

geek_son really loves those “pure beech” sheets, but they fall apart in the washer/dryer from practically the first washing. :(

I have also seen some high thread count, XL twin sheets at Ross and Marshalls.

Thanks everyone – especially Very Happy.

BBB has them out – inline with the regular sheets so it actually looks like they may have them year round. There was a good bit of selection and I was in and out of the store in 5 minutes.

(A bit of trivia. When I was young and single, and also young and newly married in the early 80s, I had a job in publishing in East Norwalk CT. On my lunch break I would go around the corner and shop at the Norwalk Factory Outlet Center. There was a little sandwich shop on the 3rd floor. But on the first floor was the ORIGINAL Bed Bath and Beyond – the grand daddy of the chain we know today!)

CNP, I remember the Norwalk Factory Outlet Center. I regret that they went away – I used to get great Dooney and Bourke handbags there, and Harve Benard dresses. Now it’s office space.

^^^That’s correct - I just bought several sets yesterday at TJ Maxx yesterday!
