Has anyone seen XL TWIN sheets yet!

My son is going to a summer program at a college and needs the XL twin sheets this weekend. Are they out in the stores yet?

It’s hard for me to get out to the places I’d expect them to be, so I’m asking if anyone’s seen them yet. I can report that they are not at Walmart or Kohl’s. And while I would have hit up Linens’N Things, they’re gone. BedBathBeyond isn’t in my normal traffic pattern, ditto Target, Macy’s, Sear’s, JCP.

Any sightings??

Bed, Bath & Beyond almost always has them in stock. You can also order online and pickup in your college town.

I’m sure if they’re not out on the shelves, they’re hiding in the back and they can get them for you.

I saw some in the clearance area of bedding the other day. You probably can also order on line. Kohl’s often has them too.

They will come out in a few weeks. I did not even know about XL twins until finding out about it for my incoming freshman son 5 yrs ago. I couldn’t find them. Then we got solicitations in the mail for all the things students need in dorms.

Being my frugal self, I waited. I soon found that all the big stores come out w/ college dorm stuff fairly early in the summer. Walmart, BB&B, and Penny’s to name a few.

The stores are usually cheaper than the mail solicitations.

Too bad I don’t know you in real life. You could have the ones my daughter used in her dorm rooms for two years. This fall, she’s moving into an apartment with full-size beds. The twin XL sheets are now useless.

Doesn’t your son know a current college student who could lend him a set of twin XL sheets for the summer program?

I have one set of them and hate them. I bought them by accident because they were on-sale. They fit none of the tin beds in the house.

We bought ours at Wal-Mart.

go to bed bath and beyond and buy Pure Beech Twin XL’s (im not sure if beech is the name of the company or the fabric). It is the most comfortable and soft set of sheets in the world that isn’t expensive.

My darling S1 threw his away when he moved out of the dorm at the end of freshman year. Claimed they were beyond washing/reclaiming.

Grrr. S2 is actually at the summer program at S1s college, and the bed came with laundry service sheets – but he says they aren’t working for him. He’s having a birthday this weekend, we’re going up, and he asked for sheets. I don’t really have a shopable day between now and 0’dawn:30 on Sunday which is why I need a pointer in the right direction if I can find a few minutes in tomorrow’s travels.

If we think I can get them tomorrow at BBB I can probably manage to get to one!
Thanks everyone

There’s a BB&B in Norwalk, cnp.

Norwalk … on the Westport line in the theater complex? There’s nothing on CT Ave towards Darien right (that was LNT?)? And no BBB in Stamford? (Tomorrow I am in Ridgefield, Stamford and back to Ridgefield without enough commute time between!)

The Danbury BBB near the airport may be the closest one – out of my way, but maybe the best bet!

I saw them Monday afternoon while shopping at Penney’s. Twin XL sheets are very popular at yard sales–I found some last year–like new!..

Exactly. BUT, here you go:

How’s that??!!

TJMaxx has lots–saw them today.

TJMaxx or Marshall’s should have them; they carry them pretty much all year, I think.

Macy’s is loaded with TXL’s. bought set for D’s summer program. They have in Tommy Hilfiger with lots of prints, Martha Stewart solids and Charter club solids. The items for back to school are rolling in everywhere

We bought them at Target. They are pretty widely available.

BBB, Walmart, Target.

cnp-definitely BB&B, bought them a couple of weeks ago for a summer program S.

I know that Target has millions. I know it’s not close by as you say, but if you desparately need them definitely try there.
