<p>AP lang? Is it hard? I mean, its not like math or a language where you need a strong background, but English was never my strong subject. I’m taking it because I have to many Math/Science courses and need a good humanities course to balance it out. Also, the AP scholar awards are based on the AP exams you take, not the classes right?</p>
<p>I’m in IB language arts and my teacher doesn’t teach us related anything to AP b/c he thinks it’s too “easy” but i still took the AP Lit Test (im a junior).</p>

<p>I just did this year. If you can write decent essays, on the spot, you don’t need to study very much at all.</p>
<p>^Yea, my IB LA teacher gives us about 5 or so timed writes and that’s our grade for the WHOLE semester…</p>
<p>If you’re a good essay writer, you can pretty much learn everything else you need from a prep book.</p>
