Has anyone turned in an application in last minute and got in?

Just curios.

I saw you made another post about this. It does not matter as long as you get it done before the deadline. (That is assuming that it is not rolling admissions. Rolling admissions work differently)

Yes, I waited last minute for northeastern EA and got merit

Depends on what you mean by ‘last minute’; acceptance will not be impacted if you submit prior to the deadline, whether it be a week before or a minute before. If merit is first come first serve it may be an issue, but I think this is only the case for applying for FAFSA.

If you’re late, it’s another story.

Sure. As long as it is in by the deadline it you get equal consideration (except for rolling admission schools which are first-come first-accepted).

You know that many items trickle in, right? Someone could have submitted in October – but until school docs and scores and rec letters and stuff get filed, the app likely won’t even be read. And let’s say your 11:59 app has all its docs in place – voila, it gets read before the October one.

So please stop worrying about the effects of your procrastination

Getting admitted isn’t an award for being a good planner and organized. The application is a mechanism for getting material to the college that reflects your achievements over the last 4 years. Last minute or last month-does not matter.

Last minute BEFORE the deadline is fine. As long as your application gets in without a glitch, it’s in.

I applied to University of Minnesota on Dec 15(just on their priority deadline).
My SAT and TOEFL scores could not reach them before the 20th. However, surprisingly they did , and less than a month after I received my notice of acceptance.
