I’ve been trying to get into our medical center’s dietitian for ages, and it never happens. You need a referral, which I have, and you can’t call to schedule. They have to call you (they never do). I’ve been using the online “dietitian” app through my insurance, but it’s nothing but an online calorie/macro counter with a useless person who checks in from time to time. I think even AI would be more on target than this person. What I’m really looking for is something personalized that can take into account the differing needs of my husband and me and help me create a plan. I’d love someone local whom I can meet with face to face, but it seems like that isn’t a possibility. After being inundated with FB ads for Nourish, I’m wondering if anyone has used it.
I think I’d be more inclined to look locally before an online company. Insurers pay for diabetics to have dietician advice so should be able to get their contact info. Maybe you can hire one and pay out of pocket and meet them in person if the ones who were supposed to call never did.
