<p>My youngest applied for this from the Internet and tells me it is an all expenses paid leadership program in NY (except plane fare). She heard back in one day that she had been accepted, which, of course, sets off my mother radar. Does anyone have any experience with this program? The website looks good, but I am interested to hear feedback from anyone whose child has actually gone. Thanks!</p>

<p>I am not sure where they actually stay. I think she said Long Island, so Adelphi may be the place. She applied one day and heard back the next–thus my concern about the legitimacy of the experience. The topics covered are pretty heavy since the seminars include programs on poverty, hunger, AIDS; maybe there just weren’t that many students interested.</p>
