I really want to transfer to brown. I got waitlilsted last year. I am at tulane now. Do I have any chance still?

I was doing quite well until I bombed my math final. Now I have a c+ in math (a 79…the teacher just won’t give it to me). If I ace everything else the highest I can have is a 3.51, and I still have the glaring c on my transcript.

I’ve been very sick all semester which has a lot to do with my grade – should I get a doctors note?

Other stats:
SAT
1370

I’ve got great extra curriculars and everything else. In tight with the rugby team, though not directly recruited because it’s club.

I think you have a good chance because you were waitlisted, also I am not sure about the academics at your school, but at mine, Wake Forest, C’s are common especially if you take a science, math or business class because they live on grade deflation. Brown looks at more than just numbers so you still have a good chance. For transferring to Brown there is no specific formula of stats, as said before they admit people not numbers. Chill and don’t stress too much. Good luck!

Hey I was just wondering how challenging is the courses at Tulane in the Political Science, International Relations/Studies departments? Also The commentor above, how is Wake Forest Departments in Poli Sci, Ir/Is? Thanks. Also is it hard to distinguish yourself at the universitiy? Is it very competitive? Oh sorry for positing on this thread, but you do have a reasonable chance at transferring. I would do the whole explanation about the courses, etc.

I may be able to get the math grade pass/fail or something.
I didn’t ace everything else (A-…blahh) so right now I have like a 3.2. If I get math pass/fail I’ll have like a 3.7. But there’s still a pass/fail on there…

Is Brown going to be less likely to want me because I’ve had a history of so many health problems (there was stuff in high school, too)?
