Has the Large Hadron Collider destroyed the world yet?

so…[Has the Large Hadron Collider destroyed the world yet?](http://hasthelargehadroncolliderdestroyedtheworldyet.com/)

if (!(typeof worldHasEnded == “undefined”)) {
document.write(“YUP.”);
} else {
document.write(“NOPE.”);
}

Row, row, fight the powah.

4Chan is horrible.

And it won’t even be capable of destroying the world for a few months.

Can this device theoretically prove religion as crud?

Regardless of what it does, it won’t be as cool as [the giant animal smasher.](BBspot - BBspot - Evolutionary Acceleration Research Institute Answers the Call- Ready to Start “Squirrel Smasher”, A Service to Mankind)

Lulz, and higher energy collisions occur in the upper atmosphere all the time, and don’t inconvenience us in the slightest. ;D

Yes.

Here’s your sign.

I can’t wait! Do you think it’ll have the potential to destroy a species? Maybe even the world?

No. Religion already did that - and the people who “believe” “in” religion would tend to find a way to fit the LHC’s results to their belief system.

Disclaimer to the last post: Religion can do some good, and I have a complicated view on it.

Back to the LHC, I think there are a few people who would shift over from (weak) agnosticism to a harder stance on the plausibility of religion if it does anything. This is because if the LHC does anything, it demonstrates testability of esoteric theories in advanced physics.
