Hate to do this, but chance me?

I’m not the kind to pretend that I’m not sure I’ll get in when my resume is crazy long and impressive, because my resume is NOT crazy long and impressive, and I honestly don’t think I’ll get in. (I just didn’t realize that until after I’d paid the application fee, so I figured I may as well finish applying, because if I’m going to be denied, I want to be denied because I’m not good enough, not because I didn’t try.)

Anyway, I don’t really know the best way to organize this information so here goes:

I’m applying to the School of Arts and Sciences as a Linguistics major.

HS weighted GPA: 3.96, unweighted 3.5 (if I recall correctly)
College GPA: 3.9, Major GPA: 4.0

SAT: 2200 (Reading 800, Writing 740, Math 660)
SAT Literature Sub. Test: 780
SAT French Sub. Test: 640

AP English Lang./Comp.: 3
AP Macroeconomics: 3
AP US Gov. and Politics: 3
AP English Lit./Comp.: 5

Dean’s List for 4 semesters, member of Phi Theta Kappa and Soci

dont sell yourself short! you honestly have as good a chance as anybody. i was in your exact situation this december–i applied ed, and looking at cc posts made me feel like i could never get in. but it did happen! anyway my point is, penn isnt looking for robots who have been perfecting their college applications since age 13. they’re looking for some display of passion. you seem involved in your community, which is great! you might get in, and you might not…but either way, your resume IS impressive! best of luck to you!
