have I killed my shot at college?

I don’t know anything about colleges. I test well but at my small private school our guidance counselor tells us nothing. At my school the curriculum is tough as in we greatly surpass the public schools. We only just got accredited a year or two ago. We do not have ap classes. I’m starting my senior year this coming school year.

here’s the issue
I had some issues getting things turned in my freshman and sophomore years, my dad says that it was my not paying attention during classes and passing notes to friends, but he’s wrong…anyways, I started going to a technical school half day last year (there are credit hours involved. it’s not a dropout tech school) so I was only taking 3 classes at my highschool. I got a 3.3 gpa. (I don’t know what it is if I factor in tech’s grades, but it goes up some). I used to be an NHS member but I’m not anymore. I couldn’t attend the meetings becuase of Tech. So to the best of my knowledge my gpa hovers around 3.3-3.6

I took the SAT a while back for the first time and I got a 27 without studying. I’m not really in extracurricular activities. So, what kind of college am I looking at. I come from a middle-class family, but both my parents got their salaries cut. Do I even qualify for financial aid with my low gpa? What do I do?

Wait, you got a 27 on the SAT? You mean ACT, right?

Not enough info to help you…
No merit aid but that could change if your stats are in the top 10-20% of the school your applying to.

Perhaps need aid depending on EFC. Fill out a sample FAFSA.

What kind of school are you looking for…

You mean ACT, right - lets hope so…

Scored a 27 on the SAT? Yeah, no college for you.

Yeah, you are clueless. The SAT’s range is 600 to 2400. The ACT is 1 to 36. You probably mean thelatter.

I really can’t decipher your post.

you won’t be going to an ivy league, but you certaintly haven’t blown your chance at college, there are colleges with a 100% acceptance rate for crying out loud! What state do you live in?

Grades have no effect on financial aid packages.

erm edit, i mean act

erm act I can’t figure out how to edit. it’s late and I’m not watching what i’m typing

yes I do i mean act
