<p>I quite band, to join another interest the problem is my other interest is so academically based. I want to get into a university like Rice, and Duke, but will they care too much if I’m not as well rounded, and focus majority of my time on academic related activities? And would you consider academic decathlon an extracurricular activity?</p>
<p>Just to clarify the main reason I quite band was because I lost too much interest and passion for it, or if there was any real passion in there.</p>
