Have the FLAS ended?

<p>I took a look at the FLAS website and it looks like there are no awards for 2008 posted. Does this mean that the FLAS has been discontinued?</p>

<p>Are FLAS generally uber competitive? Does the competition vary significantly by the school? And what would make a competitive candidate (e.g. major in the language)?</p>
