Ok sooooo I’ve been incredibly lost ever since graduating hs. My senior year of hs I thought I was set, I had a scholarship to play D1 at this school in NY my freshman year it was all gona be good. But I messed around 2nd semester of senior year and without realizing or knowing, they told me in August that I screwed my eligibility to play and get a scholarship at that school in the fall…So I ended up having to go to a local commuter school for my freshman year. I did good, but needed to get out and away from there, I wanted to get back to NY at all costs, so I transferred to a school in NY for the fall semester of my soph year… it was awful…I ended up withdrawing but continued to live in NY. Then for the spring semester I transferred and got in to a great business school back home in philly where a lot of my friends go…but I really had no interest in going back there, as I really don’t like that city/campus and everyone already thinks I’m still doing good in NY, so I opted to just take a semester of online courses from there to stay and keep living in NY. During that semester I applied to a business school in NY for this fall, I didn’t get in, but they said I might get admission this spring if they have room left when my fall semester grades become available…only problem is I don’t know where I’m going yet…I’ve been talking to this one small NY school that told me they can accept me asap and I can go there, and I’ll hopefully get good enough grades to finally go and settle in the NY business school that I want to get in to? Because my ultimate goal is to attend there and keep living and working in NY. Or am I wasting way too much time and effort, and I should just go back home where I’m already in a good business school, even though I don’t really like it there, and suck it up for 2-3 years and graduate there? I’m already not graduating on time as I’ve wasted so much time and credits no matter where I go. I know this is long and complicated but I’m so lost and just need others peoples opinions on what to do
Bingo. Stop wasting time transferring, get your degree at the “great business school back home”, and go back to NY once you have it.
I agree. Stop transferring, stay in your good business school, and graduate. You can move to NY after you get your degree. If you want a chance of pace see if you can study abroad for a semester.
Stop transferring. You don’t want potential employers or potential graduate schools to think that you can’t stick with anything for more than a semester or two. You need to actually stay in one place and get the job done (ie, finish your degree hopefully with good grades). Also, by now you should have figured out that nothing is going to be perfect. If you transfer again you will find the next place isn’t perfect either.
Once you get your Bachelor’s degree, then you can consider moving to get a job and possibly someday an MBA or other graduate degree.
