Haven't received 2009-2010 info packet - advice?

At this point in time, I’m assuming 99% of the incoming freshman have their packets already since it’s already like…the end of June. I still haven’t gotten mine! I’ve called and emailed Shelah Crear (Director of First Year Programs), she’s verified that it was sent to the right address, but it’s still not here! I’m pretty sure that it’s officially lost in the mail, but I asked if she could possibly send out another one and she still insists that it should be on its way. To further complicate things, I’m going out of town next week so if it doesn’t come by then I won’t be able to even start on the summer reading…

What should I do next?? How important is the other stuff in the packet?

You can access all the important materials on ESTHER… did you at least get your PIN for ESTHER? If not, ask Shelah Crear if you can get your PIN in the meantime and also contact the Office of the Registrar (registrar@rice.edu … you may want to double check that email address)

i mean, if u dont get the reading, big deal

i would call and get the important stuff like PINs etc

My package literally came like half an hour after I started this thread… :stuck_out_tongue:
So, as it turns out, the address on the envelope was missing quite a bit of stuff. If I want to make sure that my full address is in Rice’s database should I contact the Office of the Registrar?

log into ESTHER now that you have your info and go to PERSONAL INFO or wtvr and cross check it

your addresss in ESTHER is automatically what the university uses to mail

oh right… one other thing. Id drop Shelah Creer an email saying thanks and that you got it. She is a nice person and good to know :)

Yeah, Shelah’s awesome.

that whole office actually is badass… Matt Taylor and Kate Noonan as well
