Haverford Dorms

Can a current Haverford student/parent speak to the dorm life without RAs. I’m concerned. Who do the students turn to for help or emergencies?

Since there have been no responses to this post, I’ll try to move the conversation along by liking some editorials from the Haverford Clerk, the college’s student newspaper. Apparently there have been a series of ongoing complaints about student housing. Perhaps the articles will provide material to start a conversation with an Admissions rep.

I’ll also note for perspective that Haverford is very small - fewer than 1500 students. Being as small as they are creates its own kind of unique opportunities and challenges. From a housing perspective, they seem to have a higher percent of single rooms than is typically found. For almost a century it functioned partner college with Bryn Mawr, creating a larger community with the two colleges combined. When Haverford went co-ed in 1980, that changed the dynamic and made them more of a stand alone college community even though they maintained cross registration with Bryn Mawr.

Again, just trying to kick off the conversation about a school at which I have little first hand knowledge. Here are a couple of samples from the Clerk:
