Hazing Incident at MIT

Nothing noted on the parents’ forum on FB; interesting.

^You mean the MIT parents forum on Facebook? I wasn’t aware there was one.

By the way, in my day DU was known as the lacrosse frat. There were four or five frats that were thought of as the worst in terms of adhering to the negative stereotypes, but DU wasn’t one of them. However, I did hear that they had drinking rituals for the pledges.

The MIT Parents forum is extremely active. Honestly, it is a plus for the school. Parents check in on other’s kids, l help with logistics when the T isn’t running for holiday trips to airport, where to order fresh fruit, etc. What MDs are available for broken arm, etc.

Off record, I am just not a fan of frats, tho MIT parents defend them as being quite different than the norm. I will only say more in personal e-mail.
