I’m so excited for my son! He interviewed today for a tutoring job with the student services at his U, and he got the job! He really wanted to do this; he’s such a people person, I know he’ll be very good at this! He’ll be tutoring Calculus at both the center as well as being a private tutor.
I’m just so happy for him I had to post!

Congratulations…and how nice for those whom he will be tutoring too!! Nice news. He must have called you right away.

Yep, he applied last week and I know he was eagerly anticipating doing the interview and finding out whether or not he would get it. It doesn’t pay peanuts, but it’s a good fit for him and when he’s not busy in the center (when there aren’t students seeking help in his “expertise”), he’ll be able to do some studying on his own.

That’s wonderful! It’s good that it’s a good fit for him, too.

Isn’t that wonderful! Congrats to your son (and his future students)!

Congratulations! He’ll make an awesome difference too; calculus isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (obviously!) and so he will be very badly needed and greatly appreciated, I’m sure.

Congrats, doubleplay. Go gators!

Peanuts today…bigger bux tomorrow. Experience is the thing as you clearly know.

Congratulations to your son!

Awesome news, DP! Congratulations all around!

Great news! I am guessing he will really earn the “peanuts”. Calculus is one of those classes that students always need help. Congratulations!!!

That’s great!

I wouldn’t worry about current salary. He’ll gain experience which he can parlay into outside jobs, which pay $35-50!!!

Congrats to your son! Calculus no less. Pretty darned impressive if you ask me.

Happy days Doubleplay!
A satisfying college story.

Congrats on your son’s accomplishements Doubleday! I could have used the help in Calculus from a (no doubt!) good-looking young man when I was in college! :)

Yay! Good for him for getting the job, and for being that good in calculus!
