owww…that sounds so cool…and in my former home town. I used to wait table at Spats on 21st as you enter Hillsboro Village leaving Vandy. I think it is long gone, early fern bar.
Get pancakes in Hillsboro Village.
Elliston Place is a good place to stay. Hillsboro Village also has some neighborhood groove. Make sure to go see the Parthenon and consider hearing some bluegrass at the Bluegrass Inn. Get a drink at the Bluebird Cafe…never know who will be discovered there.
My husband had an apt on Elliston Place at the White Roach when in law school at Vandy, now torn down for the Hampton Inn. No heat. Shower head with no stall washed everything. Still partly residential area then.
When his roommate went to the corner pay phone to call his Mama and say “We got to Music City safe and sound” he was held up and his watch removed and wallet taken while his Mama listened.
Now Elliston Place is all restaurants and nice hotels. Honestly…the choices are great. Consider eating near Music Row somewhere to see the music execs do business, too.

Just got back home. A quick trip up the road to N’ville and back. Was great fun to meet and try to talk over the loud crowd and bikers outside! This, however (meeting IRL), deserves its own thread, so I will start one.

I’ve got this. Lived in nashville all my life…

by Vanderbilt is a place called Noshville I would try that. The Cheesecake factory is also amazing, even if it’s not right by Vanderbilt.

Almost forgot, The Pancake Pantry is amazing and so is… god i forget the name Pizza place in Hillsboro Village.

Across from The Pancake Pantry, there is a French Bistro that serves wonderful salads, soups, breads and desserts. Great for lunch! Also, best Italian in Nashville is a place called Sole Mio. Homemade pastas and biscotti! They have a website where you can check out the menu. Highly recommend!!

Faline2 - Do you happen to remember the great bread that they had at Spat’s by Vanderbilt? I’ve been trying to figure out what kind of bread it was for years - lol. If you’ve got any idea, please let me know

This is a 5 year old thread. Might be better to start a new one.
