Health Adademy - Will It Help?

I am a senior, and a member of my high school’s Health Academy, a program designed to assist students in becoming members of the health care community. I have greatly enjoyed my Health Academy classes, and feel that the knowledge I’ve gained from them will be invaluable in my future, whence I hope to become a medical doctor of some sorts. In my health academy, I have taken courses in CPR, first aid, medical terminology, communications, and will be taking more courses in anatomy/physiology and sports medicine. Separately, I have volunteered at the local emergency room and plan to take an EMT class at a local community college during next spring.
The problem is, the Health Academy is a GPA vortex. None of these classes are weighted. I have a 4.49 weighted GPA, which is a fine statistic, but not compared to others at my school with 4.5+. Even if Stanford does not care a whole lot about weighted grades, I am under the impression they DO care about class rank, which at my school is directly dependent on weighted GPA. My class rank is 9/443, or top 2.1%. Without health academy classes considered, I would be ranked approximately 4th in my class.

With all of these things considered, does it appear that the Health Academy is assisting me in my application?
What should I do to make my health background shine?

Thank you.

Read my post to the other guy with the 15/500 class rank.

And did you really just say whence, or was that a typo?

Stanford won’t know what you don’t tell them. If the health profession means a lot to you, write your Common App essay about it.
