I read in an article in the last month, but don’t remember where, that said people on the ACA go to the ER at something like 2-3x more often than people not on ACA plans. I thought that was interesting.

People on the ACA plans may have less access to healthcare during traditional office hours. Those who work low wage jobs often don’t have flexibility to leave work, and they may work multiple jobs to make ends meet. This leads to putting off care until it becomes unavoidable - and the only option after hours is emergency rooms.
