Does Umass Amherst accept Mass Health in order to get my health care waived?
Beginning on August 1, through your SPIRE page, you have the ability to waive the health insurance charge. When you log on, there are questions in order to determine if your health insurance meets the school requirements. You could compare your MassHealth to the reqs at that time.
Call Umass and ask them but there I found that Mass Health is NOT accepted. For the latest information, call Patient Accounts, (413) 577-5256.
