healthcare q: fee for service?

hey, under the fee FAQs for UCLA’s ashe health & wellness center, it states the “fee for service” charge along with the cost of being with and without SHIP. is the fee for service charge included even if you’re insured under SHIP?

I’m not certain what you’re asking… but perhaps you’re talking about co-pay. When you go to the Ashe center (or place using your SHIP) you have to pay a relatively small amount to receive service while the insurance plan pays the rest. So I think just for a doctor’s visit you have to pay like $25.

i figured out the fee for service thing is how much registered students w/o SHIP from the prior academic year have to pay if they want health service during the summer.

how is UCLA’s healthcare overall? are the waits short? the doctors good? any info/reviews appreciated.
