<p>Anyone do this form for their kids when they leave? His school has a great medical program, and we have to pay a health fee anyway - so any minor things are taken care of. I just don’t know if I need to be concerned with a PCP out of the area for him. I guess it won’t hurt to do it, just in case.</p>
<p>We did the form for both of our kids who attended college OOS. We were VERY happy to have our excellent health insurance coverage for them while they were at school. The school plan was adequate…but in our case, our DD had two major emergency surgical operations and was hospitalized for almost a week during her senior year. Our “blue care” (what provides BC/BS coverage to students out of state) covered it all…we never saw a bill. The student plan would NOT have done so.</p>
