I originally committed to Santa Clara University CS and Engineering, but I got off the waitlist 2 days back for U-Wisconsin Madison CS. I have 5 more days to make a decision.
I want to be in the tech world and still be able to ride out this AI wave whilst still preparing to build a computer scientist skillset. Should I choose to go to have exposure in Silicon Valley or choose the higher ranked CS Program (putting aside cost)?
Do recruiters at tech companies see a difference in the degree?
UWM has a strong and well-regarded computer science program that offers much more breadth and depth. All else being equal, a UWM graduate will likely be seen as better qualified.
