Haha, it’s true, going to prom is like so 1999 :p

spyder, that is a little unz, ya know…

yeah i know
dont worry though i try to pretend im all cool but shes going to make me go in the end lol…

anyone ever hear In Love With the 80s - Relient K?
greattt song

…and im going to wear a pink tux to the prom
live without a care
what could possibly go wrong?

pink tux?
hehehe, maybe your girl SHOULD go alone.
just joking

nah those are the lyrics lol i would never show up in a pink tux… wayyy too poser

hehe, ![]()
well, I’m still going for my sushi idea.

I just made arrangements with some of my friends— we’re going to NYC to see a musical on the day of the prom :)

Hehe I agree with Celebrian- half the reason I’ll go is so that my parents won’t think I’m more than a social outcast than I already am- I have two sister that are really popular too and my parents are always comparing me to them. It’s a hard life, I can sympathize with you.

I hope I stick to my guns and choose not to go. The entire scene disgusts me to no end.

i actually want to go my prom but the fact that i’m not interested in losing my virginity or getting wasted pretty much deters all the guys who are decent looking. the prom at my school is on my birthday this year. bids are only $15 for a single and after-prom is only half that for a single; how do some of you all fork over $100 for a bid?!?

It’s all good though because my mom made me a nice offer to go to olive garden if i don’t get asked :D

any tips to get a guy to stop being afraid of a girl who can think long enough to go to prom?..haha just kidding!!

@Erinishorsecrazy: Simple advice. Ask him. Directly and honestly. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the result. This is not the 50s anymore; people realize that the sexist chivalry of yesteryear was a farce. Be outgoing and ye shalle prosper.

I’m still thinking about whether I should go. If someone asks, I would definitely say yes, but … I still have to see about that.

I probably won’t shell out on a limo or a 500 dollar dress. I think that’s a little overdoing it :)

for all the girls that are going…are you gonna wear a thong?
for some reason it bothers me how some girls wear thongs 24/7.
Especially when it’s cold outside and they wear their thongs w/thin pajamas just so that they can show off their @$$ shake.

keep us posted,
Breathfire

breathfire,

sometimes it has nothing to do with wanting to shake our rear ends…There are simple and, in my mind quite acceptable, reasons to wear a thong under a dress. One of those is if the dress has fabric that is white and will show most other types of underwear…another is that a girl’s worst nightmare is pantylines that show:D

I think it’s wayyy trashier to have underwear lines than to wear a thong…

ahh, sex, losing virginity, i’d like to, but i remember my responsibilities. It’ll all come after i graduate from high-school. Then i’ll make sure to sleep with someone every night.

for the most part anyone who is anti-prom is that way because the rest of the people in their school are anti-them

Then i’ll make sure to sleep with someone every night.

didnt know they let you bring your mom to college
(had to)

pretty harsh, witzness. we all have our own reasons for not going-- i think that your statement may be true at ur school, but i don’t think that your generalization is justified at all.

tashi, my bad i didnt mean to make a generalization, because im sure there are many people who would just rather not go
yet, at the same token, some of these posts in the thread make some people look a little pathetic, i mean just have confidence in yourself
