Hello to WJU

Does Wheeling offer scholarships? If so, what kind?

Wheeling Jesuit offers the following types of financial aid:

I hope this helps!

My son is interested in Computer Science, and we (his parents) are interested in a Jesuit school for him if we can find an affordable one with scholarships. We were mostly looking at Xavier, but then ran across Wheeling Jesuit. I have a couple of questions: Are your students mostly from WV/PA? If they are from farther away, is a car allowed on campus or a close airport nearby?

Hi Nancy,

Sorry for not responding sooner!

Our top three states by enrollment (in order) are, Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Last year’s freshmen class also included many students from Maryland, Texas, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

We do allow freshmen to bring cars to campus. For those students who choose not to bring a car, we are about an hour from Pittsburgh International Airport. We offer shuttles to and from the airport during holiday breaks.

Out of curiosity, how did you manage to enroll students from the DRC?

I work with domestic students so I’m not entirely sure of the history, but I believe we got our start through word of mouth. Since then, we have added an international admissions counselor who has done some travel abroad.

Beautiful school. Underrated too.
