Hello i need major help

Well the first time i took my S.A.T i had a 950, but i gave no effort.
I took it again this june(7) i took a kaplan course studied a bit and i felt i did decent.
My issue is if i don’t get the grade i need for the college i want to go that is a 830-1010 Reading+Math together
What can i do to increase my grade before October. That’s the month the exam is on.
I had horrible teachers in the pass, so i have to self study to even pass exam. That’s why my exam score is so low.
I need advice please.
Anyone

Which ones?

Specific ?

The Silverturtle and Xiggi guides.

If you’re aiming for somewhere in the 800s for CR + M, I think just going through all 10 tests in the Blue Book should get you there.

Also analyze every question (EVERY question) you get wrong … otherwise you’re just wasting precious problems.

By analyze, I mean write it down in a notebook for future review and go over the concepts relevant to that question.

Blue book that’s all? No barrons or anything. I also take a kaplan course/

can you link the blue book so i can order

It’s not that i can’t look at old post. When i do look at old post people trying to hit high scores like 2000. All i’m trying to hit is a 1500 500-500 on the math and reading. >:P

As you go through old math tests, and in fact as you take the real thing, go very slowly so that you run out of time before you get to the last third of each section and the last two or three multiple choice before the grid-ins. This will raise your success rate on the questions you need to get a 500 and it will stop you from losing points and wasting time on questions that you don’t need and (sorry to say) probably can’t do anyway. I’ve posted about this MANY times now – it’s the low hanging fruit of SAT prep, the one easy thing to do to raise your score. More details here:

<a href=“Keller's Math SAT Game Plan”>http://www.satgameplan.com/satcharts/satchartframe.htm</a>

As you say, so many people here are trying for elite math scores that this one simple thing gets overlooked. One time when I posted this, someone complained “You can’t get an 800 that way” or something like that. And that’s true. But you can raise YOUR score significantly.

Hope it helps…

How you know those red questions are bad

All I want to do is self study
I need links of good books to increase my sat score form a 950…
i need a 500-500 on math and reading+ together to = a 1000
Any help?

The math questions in each section (and sub-section) are arranged in increasing order of difficulty. Before they appear on an actual test, questions are used on experimental sections. So they know how hard they are because they can see how other students have done on them in the past.

Any books in mind?
