<p>Aug. 23 is right around the corner! Any new Yalies or their families still hanging around on CC? It’s an exciting time to join the Yale community! At least that’s what I was thinking when I received an email from Dean Miller earlier today -
Last May, President Levin, in his final commencement address, quoted the Grateful Dead when he looked back on his 20 years of service and told the class of 2013, "‘What a long, strange trip it’s been…’ but for us, more wonderful than strange."As I look back on last year, I see that it was both: The strangest weather imaginable descended upon us in both the fall and spring terms, with Hurricane Sandy and Superstorm Nemo shuttering campus and New Haven. But the most wonderful news closed out the year as nine of our students were awarded Rhodes Scholarships and our men’s ice hockey team won the NCAA national championship . So: yes, more wonderful, with challenges overcome and aspirations fulfilled…
