Hello everyone,
I know this is only my second post and I hope that doesn’t interfere with getting feedback from all of you. This is a question regarding possibly transferring from UCSC to UCLA. First off, I’d like to mention that I have already tried seeking information with my department adviser, my academic adviser and the career center (for information about graduate school). Secondly, I’d like to point out that I have nothing against UCSC, I love it here but am kind of forced to take such action. With that said, here’s the breakdown of my situation:

I am currently a first year attending UCSC. I would like to someday attend and an Aerospace Engineering Graduate Program. There are a couple problems, however. UCSC does not offer an undergraduate program in that particular field or any really relevant program to Aerospace Engineering. At one point I even thought of majoring in Robotics Engineering with a minor in Physics or Astrophysics and seeing if I could get into an AEGP that way but I would be risking it too much. Like I stated earlier, I talked to advisers and one piece of advice that really stuck to me came from my academic adviser who told me that my best bet would probably be to transfer to a different UC, one that offers an Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Program or a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Program as it can easily be applied to Aerospace Engineering. My adviser then talked to me about UC Reciprocity (getting all my GEs completed at UCSC) and how it would need to be done by spring quarter of my sophomore year if I was looking to transfer. There must be other things I need to do besides completing my GEs prior to applying, but what? I was thinking I would possibly need to complete their pre-recs for that particular field but how do I go about seeing what UCSC classes can be transferred to UCLA and fulfill the lower-divisional courses for their aerospace program. Or do I not need to complete the lower-divisional courses at UCSC meaning I would be attending UCLA still needing to complete lower and upper-divisional courses (which doesn’t seem right). What other things would I need to do in these two years here at UCSC to increase my chances of being accepted?

I hope I didn’t confuse any of you. Any information/tips/advice will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance, everyone.
