Help? 16, dream school are Harvard and Georgetown. Is it possible for me to get in?

Hi, I’m 16 years old (currently a Junior in High school). I attend a international high school (as in, most students are non-American, from across world), I am preparing to go into the IB program (likely will get an IBDP in Beginner Mandarin, English Literature (Higher), Economics (Higher), History (Higher), Math Standard level, and Biology.)

I have a deep interest in government, politics, economics, and international relations. Over the past summer I did a summer abroad in the U.K studying International Relations & Economics, and plan to do the same this year.

At school, I have been involved in Student Government for over 4 years, and have founded my school’s Model United Nations society (and helped start our schools Mock Trial club, and am hoping to get us into the state finals); Outside of school, besides doing Summer abroad studies (i.e: in Oxford), I have also attended a few political conferences in the U.S. A friend and I also run a somewhat successful small 3D printing service. Basically, I’m not lazy, and do a lot of activities outside of school.

I get mostly A’s, however Math and Science bring me down (As in B’s in science, C (but can get a B) in Math)

With this, would I be able to get into Harvard and Georgetown? I think I have done a lot of extracurricular activities, do fairly well in school et cetera. Also, what could I do to better my chances at getting in?

Over the summer, I’m also planning to volunteer for a political campaign, and in the near future am looking into interning at City Hall.

You’re 16. You live in another country. I’m assuming you’ve never even visited Harvard. So, can you articulate why it is your “dream school” along w Georgetown?

I live in America, and am American (white) - actually have been to both Georgetown and Harvard campuses.
BS? I don’t really see what I have to benefit from BSing you on a college forum. I’m interested in both schools, like them a lot. Clearly it would not be appropriate to ask about both on a section dedicated to Harvard/or Georgetown.

There are hundreds of really good colleges where your dream of graduating can come true.

You need to work on your grades first and foremost. Bs and Cs in science and math won’t cut it for a school like Harvard (or Georgetown). Good luck!

With acceptance rates decreasing YOY and your description of yourself, I’d say that those schools are most likely to remain but a dream, as it will for most applicants on Earth.

You go to an international school that is located in the U.S? Where is that?

Also, if you CAN get B grades, get B grades. Not C.

Harvard and Georgetown have acceptance rates that are 10% or less. This means 90% at least of applicants do NOT get accepted.

Your extra curricular activities are fine, but those will not get you into these schools in the absence of stellar grades as well.

And until you have an ACT or SAT score, this is all speculation.

Get high grades and scores, don’t stop doing the ECs that you like to do, by doing all of those things you will look as qualified as everyone else; then your Essays, Recs, and interviews will do the rest.
