I just got in to Montclair State University in NJ.
Wasn’t really good student while I was in highschool, but I’ve worked my a**off for last sem. and I’ve seen the dynamic improvement. My father challenged me to transfering to Univ of Chicago.
I’m an international student (as you see from my English skills) and I do have balls to live my first year in college like a book worm. So, if you guys can, show me the way.

I’m of the opinion that anyone has a shot at any school that accept transfers if:

You show evidence of great academic potential.

You show passion.

You have the ability to offer something to the community of the school.

How about you’ll start by trying to like where you are right now? You’ll need to adjust to the university. As an international (transfer) student, it is to my belief that you’ll need to spend two years in Montclair just because you need to adjust and show your potential, at least that was the case for me.
If you are determined that you want to transfer, go to the admissions web site of Uchicago and find out what are their requirements from transfer students and plan accordingly.

ohh…and don’t be so dramatic- “save his life…”
Nobody died (I hope) due to disappointing his/ her parents. ![]()
Your parents will be much happier knowing that you are happy (again, I hope)

Thank you for the opinions. Well, I should start working then… thank you guys again
