Hey everyone, I am a rising senior and I was wondering if anyone would like to chance me. I plan on applying to the following colleges:
Notre Dame, UMichigan, Columbia Univ, NYU, WashU, UVA, UChicago, Northwestern, UPenn, UT- Austin, Boston College, Indiana University (Maybe Cornell)
Now on to my “resume”
ACADEMICS:
Non-weighted GPA: 3.76 Percentile Rank: 73
Weighted GPA: 4.29 Percentile Rank: 85
I know that my NW GPA is low, I had a high 3.88 first semester of junior year, second semester I got a few Bs, but I plan on getting all As first sem on Senior year to bring it up to a 3.795 or 3.8.
I have taken A LOT of AP Classes, senior year I am taking 5 or 6 first semester.
ACT: 33 I plan on taking the ACT again because I didn’t study last time ad ran out of time and didn’t finish my math section
EXTRA-CURRICULAR:
National Honors Society, National Spanish Honors Society, FBLA, DECCA, STUCO, Diversity Club, Debate, Forensics, Spanish Club, Chess Club, National Math Honors Society, Dance outside of school
LEADERSHIP:
Leadership Class, Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership, Assistant Board of Director for City in Motion Dance Inc., Ambassador and on the leadership team for school, Girl State won positions of Mayor, Committee President Chair Woman, then got elected as the Supreme Court Justice 1, Youth Advocated for American Auxiliary in my region, Representative for a It Matters alcohol and drug abuse campaign for high school students, exclusively provided membership for NAWF (National Association for working women) for showing leadership in the position I’m interning at.
VOLUNTEER/INTERN:
700+ hours at Shawnee Mission Medical Center
100+ hours tutoring kids at Junior Achievement, the basics in Business and economics and civil services
200+ hours of Office help/Internship at my parents and my company for education and employment in IT Field. (that is the one I got the NAWF offer for)
200+ tutoring kids math and English (Classes 7-9)
50+ teaching and choreographing dance for special occasions or festivals (ages 5-17)
AWARDS:
5+ awards in Dance for local festivals and competitions
10+ awards and medals in forensics and debate in local competition
5 nationally recognized awards in Debate and Forensics
State Qualified and nearly national qualified for FBLA
Academic Awards for school included Honor Roll, Student of the year, and more
