Help! Application question, thx

I am asian Canadian with family income way under 45000, and applying after gap year…so I know I have horrible chances and I’m wondering how much these things below will help:

supplemental graphic/architectural design portfolio, extremely well done (planning to major in architectural design, expressing interest in sustainable design)

supplemental research abstract on the benefits of biomimicry in architectural design with a focus on green skyscrapers, umm done well i guess.

good use of gap year with distance ed university courses relevant to intended major and full-time arch internship.

these are probably my only strengths so if they don’t really care about them then I’ll think of something else. Thanks for your time!

It looks that your every interested in Architecture which is shown by your post. Yale likes to see dedication and how good you spent your gap year. However, if you have already applied to Yale before your gap year and didn’t get in, your chances are much less than 8.6%. If #2 is published that will be a plus!

Wish you luck!

Thanks!!

Does anyone else know how much these factors may affect the decisions??
