<p>A question from a Berkeley spring admit (freshman):</p>
<p>I get lots of A-s in my English classes in Pasadena City College, but I’ve taken enough of them to skip all the R&C classes in Berkeley. </p>
<p>Should I retake R&C when I go to Berkeley or should I just continue to take other more advanced classes? What about econ 1?</p>

<p>econ 1 doesnt need to be retaken since its only basic economics
econ 2 is more worth taking, since its more intense</p>
<p>i would take more advanced classes, which might be more insteresting to since you already know mechanics well enough</p>

<p>I’m just not sure about how good (or bad) my writing skill is compared to the “Berkeley standard.” I am afraid to crew up my grades druing the first semester.</p>
