There are schools you can apply to in the US that you will get in.

But you gave only top names.

The reason why is because:

I have awesome options here in the region too (The American University in Cairo, NYU Abu Dhabi, Carnegie Melon Qatar, Cornell Qatar, etc. etc. etc. Even most of the local schools have international collaborators & wonderful communities)

I chose my list based on the universities’ guarantee to meet 100% of admitted international students’ need. Other than an opportunity like that, I don’t see how I’d be able to afford school in the US
