I think you have a great chance at making it into Brown. You’re incredibly unique and we can see that you’re intellectually curious as well. You’re academically powerful. Maybe your SAT score could be improved, but overall I’d say that, with killer essays, there’s little reason for Brown not to accept you next year.

Since you haven’t taken all your exams yet, I wouldnt send any predicted IB scores. It won’t really help you (since anyone could say they have a predicted 7 on everything for common app). Are you #1 at the Norwegian school? I guess I’m a little confused on how they can rank students that have only been there for 2 years. Seems like there would be many many ties in class rank. I also don’t know if I would put all the ECs (though they are all very impressive!!!). Put the ones that you were the most dedicated to. Arabic club, but taking Spanish? Ya, not necessary. Weirdly enough, I kind of think Brown likes Ultimate Frisbee players. It’s SOOOOOOOOOO popular around campus lol.

That being said, I think you stand a decent chance. In this scenario, the only concern I would have are recommendations, considering you haven’t been at any school for too long. You have strong stats, but your essays and recommendations will probably make or break you.

Good Luck!!! I’m actually excited to see your decision next year after seeing these stats :)

ALL IB students apply with predicted grades, thats just how it works since we don’t get our results until August 2012. However, the predicted grades come on an official school transcript, and since the school I’m at is a very famous IB school that sends many kids to Ivy’s, the admissions officers should take them seriously. The predicted grades are based on achieved grades, first year exams, and mock IB exams.

As for the recommendations: that is the part of my application I am least worried about. I’ve been really lucky and am quite close to many of my teachers. I think that part is going to be wonderful.

haha I’m glad that Brown likes ultimate!
