<p>HELP: Chance me for University of Southern California?
Help chance me? I’m really hoping that I get in but I’m not sure what my chances are. I just want an idea. And what about scholarship? Hoping for your candid response. Thanks!</p>

Extracurriculars: Debate (won some tournaments), National Honor Society, Piano, Swimming (one year), worked at a lab for one summer, taught English in Asian country for another summer, awards like Scholastic Gold Key, a poster contest and art contest and writing contest</p>

<p>Also, I’m worried about my midyear reports because I got 3 Bs and 2 As senior year.</p>

<p>looking pretty good for general admission but doubtful about the major scholarships. you have a chance with some of the legacy/scion ones though.</p>

<p>Don’t worry too much about the midyear report. As long as you don’t start failing everything you’ll be alright.</p>

<p>What grabbed my attention about your application was the summer teaching english. And you wrote your essay about it - good. Community service, giving back, teaching and helping others is a big part of what USC itself tries to do. You should have a pretty good shot at getting in. I have no idea about the scholarships though.</p>

<p>Haha, what country did you teach English in? I wrote one of my USC essays on teaching English in China one summer! (But it was more based on the importance of diversity) Funny coincidence. =D Good luck!</p>
