HELP! Chances of getting into a UC?

Hello everyone! I’m going to be a senior this August and I’m a California resident. I’m beginning my college application process and I just want to prepare myself… I really want to become a civil/environmental engineer in the future and attending a UC would definitely pay off in the future. Tuition and location is not an issue.
Preferred Schools: UCB, UCSD, UCLA, UCD, UCI
Weighted GPA: 4.4
Unweighted: 4.0
Sports: 1 year LAX, 2 years TRK, 2 years XC
EC:

  • Community Service: 477 hours
  • Sharp Hospital
  • future SADD Club officer
  • Environmental Club
  • Peer Tutoring
  • Vietnamese Club Vice President
    SAT: 1680
ACT: Next Saturday, but I scored a 29 on an independent practice test.
AP: Euro-2 (I was horribly ill around the time… My ans doc was covered in snot… Just Sayin!)
    Eng Lang- scores in July
    Ethnicity if it matters: Viet
    Gender: Female

I know my test scores are horrible, but I hope schools will overlook that. I’m not taking the SAT again; it’s not my cup of tea. I hope the ACT’s straightforwardness will do me well.
Sophomore year was a really tough time for me so I didn’t care much about my grades so I got a B’s in all my Honors and APs… I really regret not persevering more than I did, but junior year, I turned everything around and got straight A’s, other than the B+ I got in H Algebra 2! Hopefully, I will maintain those A’s next year! Oh and I’m goibg to do more community service over the summer if possible.
Will my senior sched make the UC’s proud?
-Speech and Debate
-Honors Physics
-AP Calc AB/BC
-AP Lit
-AP Econ
-Possibly AP Computer Science

  • Community College classes: Political Science, Argumentation
  • I’m going to self study for AP French (3 years of study already)
  • I might retake the AP Euro exam, but there’s a very slim chance

So would I be able to gain admittance into any of the UC’s I mentioned? I know UCSD, UCB, and UCLA are a high reach but it wouldn’t hurt to try. Also, which school has a better civil/ environmental engineering program?

Thanks so much!

I was also in CSF for 3 years and was considered for the ELC program.

Aim for 31+/2100+

Like @Catria said, get your ACT score up. Then you have a fair chance at UCD/UCI, but I think UCLA and UCB are reaches.

Thanks! I’m gonna study right now  I hope my EC’s are good enough to get me in.
