HELP civil engineering

I’m an international student (from Southeast Asia). So I was all set and ready to head to London to study civil engineering, and then out of the blue, I got an offer from Carnegie Mellon.

University College London (UCL)

 • a 4-year MEng degree
 • cheaper than CMU
 • got friends and family in the UK
 • Intel research center about to be built in London
 • top school in Europe, better international reputation

Carnegie Mellon University (CMU)

 • a 4-year BS (likely 3 yrs since I’ve got extra credit)
 • better engineering education/research (??)

My head is exploding now… Help me out here guys!

Also a little more info, each yr at CMU costs roughly 17k more than UCL :(

I dont have much insight on this but from what I think you should choose UCL. You have family over there, it costs less, there are many reasons. Dont let the thought of prestige alter your decision
