I have a water wall/fountain that splashes infrequently onto a formica counter top. I’ve had it for 5 years. There are water stains on the counter top that I cannot remove. I’ve tried vinegar, CLR, Clorox Clean-Up, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a few others. There is still a chalky residue that is driving me mad. Any ideas?

I have never experienced anything like that- do you have very soft/hard water?
I have tile on most surfaces, but I think a polish, would be a better choice than bleach or other harsh chemical.

Make a paste of baking soda and water. Rub it on or let sit for one hour and wipe away.

My father has used toothpaste to remove water rings from wood furniture. That might work on Formica.

I have used Tarn-X tarnish remover on formica with some success. Sounds weird but when you’re desperate…

Try Lime Away. You want something to chemically react with presumed hard water (lime) stains that you can then wipe off.

thanks for the tips; I’m trying them all (not at same time…) tomorrow.
