Help! College Board screwed up

We just found out that the College Board screwed up and sent all the schools my daughter wants to go to her Jan. 09 test scores and not her Oct. 09 higher scores. Now its late February and all the schools have the wrong, lower scores. Does anyone know if it makes any sense to resubmit, at this late date, the higher scores? We are only talking 40 points but 40 points is 40 points!

What are the scores and what schools are we talking about?

1/09 Reading 640, Math 530, Writing 630
10/09 Reading 650, Math 570, Writing 600
Schools are: USC, UCLA, NYU, Chapman Univ., Syracuse Univ., Emerson College and LMU.
Frankly, according to the charts I’ve seen her first scores are good enough for all but USC, NYU and Syracuse but, of course, those are her top choices.
Suggestions?

Last time I took the SATs (it’s been a few years) they sent all the scores to the school, you didn’t get to pick and choose.

Likely it’s still that way.

SanDiego Parent,
I would have the College Board send the October scores immediately and on their dime. They screwed up and those 40 points could make a difference.

bigtrees,
Times have changed. Last year, the College Board offered “Score Choice” which allows the test-taker to select which set of scores they want sent out to their prospective colleges.

^ those scores may be a little low for UCLA as well.
