Hi, I recently got my EA decision back from Stanford and it was a no go. I should have known but I actually felt pretty good about my application. I put off completing my other applications until this week… sigh I know not smart… and need help compiling some more middle of the line schools so to speak. Schools that I have a good chance to get into, but are more selective than a safety school. If you could give me some names that would narrow my search down a lot. Planning on applying to most Ivies, already applied to UC Berkeley, CU Boulder and K-State.

Need-based aid essential
Haverford, Colby, Mt. Holyoke and Carleton would be examples of solid schools for biology, and would keep your options open across many other arts and sciences fields.
UCB, as far as I’m aware, would not offer you need-based aid. You may want to look into your other state-school choices as well with respect to this.
http://www.collegesimply.com/guides/application-deadlines/?view=all if you’re still looking for schools, this list is your friend. There are actually a fair number of prestigious schools that have application deadlines on the 10th or the 15th rather than the 1st. Some ideas: Emory, Tulane, GWU.

The schools in bold have good need-based financial aid. The ones in italics are known for merit aid.
You can’t be in-state for CU Boulder, Berkeley, and K-State. I’m assuming you want to get out of Kansas? If so, know that neither Boulder nor Berkeley is going to fund you. Don’t call those your safeties if you don’t really want to go there.
