I submitted CSS Profile based on the estimate (to few schools that required PROFILE before Feb. 1st), and I know that I can’t correct PROFILE and have to send the Tax Return directly. I still have to submit it for few more colleges. I tried “adding new colleges to submitted application,” but I can’t change the status to “have already filed.” All the questions say “estimate your…blahblah.” I don’t want colleges to think that I’m submitting an estimate because I would then have to send the tax return document to the colleges again.

Can anyone help???

I meant “will file” to “completed tax return.”

MY understanding is you cannot correct the CSS Profile. You can however give colleges updated information and they usually want to see your tax returns once you’ve submitted them.

You can correct the FAFSA.

I understand you’re trying to send this profile to entirely different schools – not correct the first right? As far as I know, once the Profile is finalized it can’t be changed, so you would just submit it in the current version.

Someone told me they printed our their profile and then hand corrected and sent it to the college.

Anyone done it differently?

For such a minor change I’d just contact the financial aid offices at the colleges directly.

We’re just leaving it be, as the schools will receive the tax documents which verify the iinformation.

We also had issues like siblings age (which changed from the last time we filed) and other stuff.

I think everything is ok as long as your tax documents match.
