Help deciding between Systems, Chemical, and CS and Engineering major

I’m having a hard time selecting which one I’d major in. They are all interesting to me and it comes down to job conditions and salary. Are there important factors to consider with these majors (like outlook, jobs available). In your opinion what is the best one to major in, or maybe any other engineering degree that you think would prove well, better than these.

I’d like to go into management later on, I don’t know if that’ll effect anything but I know that most engineering degrees plateau and I want to keep salary growth.

EDIT: meant to post this somewhere else how do I delete a thread, or move it.

Actually I would recommend you look at it from the opposite viewpoint: they all have similar salary potentials, but each are very different. Plus, the one you are most interested in could earn you more money in the long run.

It seems like you are either very unsure or undicided in what you want to do. (Your past posts indicate interests in computer science, pre med, MBA, EE, systems, and chemical engineering). I would recommend you do more research or talk to people in those professions.

Google can provide good information if you want to just look into the different roles of X career or profession.
For example: https://www.truity.com/career-profile/chemical-engineer

or: https://www.topuniversities.com/courses/engineering/which-type-engineering-should-you-study

It depends on what interests you most. Like would you want to work on new compounds , processes, mass and heat transfer, or would you prefer algorithms, graphics, etc.

Find out what jumps out to you and try to pursue it! There are management opportunities in all three, but you may find yourself wanting to stay in the technical route or a new field all together. There is no shame in either of those.

Best of luck!

Also, I found this excerpt online on quora that might be of good use to you:

"I have loved cars ever since I was able to pronounce Mitsubishi (5 years of age). I love the smell of grease and petrol and I used to dismantle my bicycle just because I loved to.

After 12th, I was conflicted and scared and took a shot at Computer Science and Engineering. You see, I was running after something that I thought paid more. I was miserable with my choice before shifting base to another college and Mechanical Engineering. That was the best decision of my life and now, I can become an engineer in peace, knowing that I’m studying something that’s my passion.

Engineering offers so many choices, it’s like choosing Pizza toppings in a high end pizza parlor. You’ll be conflicted and worried. But trust your instincts and you’ll have the happiest days of your life for 4 whole years."

you’re right lol… I am very unsure, but I feel like engineering is finally what I want to do atleast for ug, just don’t know what branch. I’ll find what interests me the most

Thank you
