Hi everyone. This is my first draft. It’s about Debate and I would sincerely appreciate opinions, concerns, feedback, editing etc.
Five seconds in and I was already a goner. Public Forum Debate had taken me; Even today, waging wars with words is something that will never lose its allure. Getting my computer slammed shut at 3 AM despite my pleas that the closing argument needs to be changed is something of a weekly ritual. Topic briefs litter my room and multiple forests have been killed in my speech editing. I know more about Algeria’s GDP than last night’s football game, and more than a few peers have given me dirty looks because does someone really need to wear suits that often. I say never mind to those people. Debate is to thank for multiple lost voices, too many friendships to count, and just a couple hours of magic every weekend.
