Hello, so I was pretty set on going to Baker college and I accepted the loan and Pell Grant that I was given. But I changed my mind on where I want to go to school. I haven’t started classes yet will I be able to still get financial aid??? Or am I screwed?
You can get the federal aid at any school you attend that participates in the program. Make sure you withdraw your registration at Baker college. In writing. Save the confirmation.
If you didn’t list your new college on the FAFSA, you need to go into the FAFSA form, add the new school, and submit. Wait a few days and then contact that school’s Financial aid office.
The Direct Loan of $5500, and whatever you got for a Pell Grant should be available to you regardless of where you attend college.
BUT…you need to make sure you fully withdraw your acceptance AND your financial aid from Baker. Make sure that is done.
Where do you plan to attend college? It’s a little late to be applying to new schools.
I am going to Oakland Univeristy because my housing issues. I know I’m late in the game

If you accepted Baker’s offer of attendance, make sure you contact admissions, financial aid, and residential life. You need to withdraw your acceptance, financial aid, and from housing and the meal plan.
