Help finding unique Study Abroad program

Hey all. I’m looking for a summer program that will let me take Spanish language classes in South America, but will also let me shadow physicians or just work in rural, preferably impoverished healthcare settings in general. The program can be however long, from mid May to mid August. Cost isn’t an issue b/c I have a pretty good scholarship. I’ve looked around and found lots that will let me take just Spanish language classes, but I want healthcare immersion as well - the only ones similar to this I have found would be through KEI and ISA. Let me know if anything sounds like this…Thanks

As far as I know, you can either study in a foreign country or go with a program that’s gonna let you do volunteer work…what you would probably be easier to do is to find a program to study with and then find volunteer opportunities separate. I’ve never heard of a program that does both for you

School for International Training, part of World Learning: [SIT Home - SIT Study Abroad and SIT Graduate Institute](http://www.sit.edu), has exactly what you are looking for I believe.
