Help for 2nd Chance

My first attempt at college was right out of high school in 2008. I didn’t make it long before I had issues with my grades and family health problems back home that forced to me drop out. Several years later I am ready to go back and complete my degree but have no ideal how to start searching for financial aid considering my past was not so hot. I was on a pal grant in the past and my income has not changed that much. Is there a 2nd chance program if so how do i apply.

I doubt you will qualify for scholarships, but you can file the FAFSA (Google it). It is free and need based. Depending on how bad your grades were, you might have to enroll in a community college at your expense for a semester or so and get good grades. Different schools have different requirements.

My GPA was too low to get back into a lot of schools, but because I had an associates degree, they let me in anyway. Associates degree transfer students don’t need as high of a GPA to get in.

Before you try to get in, first review all the stuff, and do problems in the books of the classes you got less than an A in. No point in going back if you fail again. Make sure you have all your issues fully straightened out. I’m doing a bunch of free online math tests just to get my speed back up. It takes more than just knowledge to get an A. You have to be fast and not make silly mistakes.
